A Glimpse into Our Past...
The Rich History of Pewee Valley
Established in 1852 as Smith's Station, Pewee Valley has a storied past that reflects the growth and spirit of our community. The name was changed in 1856 when Charles Franklin Smith established a post office, and was inspired by the Eastern Wood Pewee bird that frequents our area. This unique origin story highlights the charm and character that define Pewee Valley today.

Pewee Valley Farmers Market - Needs Your Help. We learned last night at our City Council meeting that our Pewee Valley Farmers Market needs a New Leader!
We are looking for someone in the community to help guide and grow our beloved Farmers Market! The role is not just about logistics, but rather creating connections with our local Farmers, Makers, and Families who rely on us to bring this to our community during the Summer Months.
If this sounds like you, please reach out asap to help us keep our Farmers Market local here in Pewee Valley. You can email me at mudd@peweevalleyky.org, call or text me at 859-907-3344.
Please Note This is a Volunteer Position
