Protecting Water Quality

Working hard to design a water quality protection program that meets the needs of our community.

  • In response to storm water requirements mandated by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Kentucky Division of Water (KDOW), the City of Pewee Valley has developed a water quality protection program that focuses on improving the quality of life of our citizens.

Pewee Valley, as well as Oldham County and other communities across the state and the country, have made the choice to fund their storm water program through a storm water utility. City residents should expect their water quality fee, shown on tax bill statements, to contribute to the following improvements:
    Regulatory compliance
  • Community beautification
  • Long term water quality protection
  • Environmental education and outreach
  • Demonstration projects in public parks/green space
  • Construction oversight and inspection

The City appreciates the input of its residents on how to use limited funding to provide value to you while meeting regulatory requirements. We welcome your feedback. If you have any questions, please contact us by calling Town Hall, 502-241-8343.
