Pewee Valley boasts several beautiful parks that offer a variety of amenities and activities for residents and visitors alike. These green spaces are perfect for relaxation, recreation, and community gatherings.

CENTRAL PARK

Central Park began as a vision by the City Council. Thanks largely to an enthusiastic group of volunteers, the assistance of the South Oldham Rotary Club, the South Oldham Lions Club, Eagle Scout Troop, and The Head Trust Fund grants, and State-level grants, the Park features walking trails, picnic areas, and park benches, making it an ideal spot for families. The scenic views and well-maintained facilities encourage outdoor activities and community events.

Central Park is a public space for everyone to enjoy. It is also available for reservation. Contact the City Clerk at clerk@peweevalleyky.org for information.

TOWN SQUARE

Flooding at Town Hall, partially caused by the build-up of the railroad tracks over the years, led the City of Pewee Valley to explore new solutions to improve the drainage on Mt. Mercy Drive and tie Town Square into Central Park.

Permeable pavers replaced asphalt in designated parking areas around the fire pit where the annual Yule Log celebration is held.

The City has applied for several grants to help fund the project.
